
Bhavani Thuraisingham
Bhavani Thuraisingham is a Louis A. Beecherl, Jr. Distinguished Professor of Computer Science at The University of Texas at Dallas and the Founding Executive Director of the Cyber Security Research and Education Institute (CSI). She joined UTD in 2004 after holding senior positions in industry and government, including at MITRE Corporation. Her research focuses on cybersecurity, data privacy, secure databases, data mining, and the integration of artificial intelligence with security. She has published extensively and led numerous federally funded projects, making significant contributions to secure data management and AI-driven cybersecurity. She is a Fellow of ACM, IEEE, AAAS, and the National Academy of Inventors (NAI), and has received multiple honors for her impact in the field.
